The President of Ukraine said in an interview with Radio Liberty that he believes Ukraine’s victory in the war with Russia will lead to the restoration of the territorial integrity of Moldova and Georgia, as well as democratic changes in Belarus.
“I would like such a victory that would prevent another war. A Ukrainian victory will allow a political solution for democratic changes in Belarus and a return to the territorial integrity of Georgia and Moldova”, - said Volodymyr Zelensky.
As he noted, if the Ukrainian army were to reach the administrative border with Crimea, this could create an opportunity to exert political pressure on Russia to demilitarise the peninsula. However, President said that he is sceptical about the possibility of military action being extended into Russian territory, as Ukraine would then risk losing the support of major powers and be left alone against Russia.
