The employees of Kakheti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, along with the employees of Special Tasks Department, as a result of operational-search measures and investigative actions, detained A.S. (DoB 1996) for premeditated murder committed against a family member under aggravating circumstances.

The crime envisions up to 20 years or life imprisonment.

The investigation established that the accused person fatally wounded A.Sh. (DoB 2009), in one of the villages of Sagarejo Municipality.

As a result of the conducted investigative and search actions, law enforcement officers arrested A.S. as an accused person.

Police seized the weapon of crime - firearm as evidence.

The investigation is in progress under articles 109(11), 143 and 236 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which refers to illegal restriction of freedom to a minor, premeditated murder of a family member and illegal carrying of a firearms.

MIA notes that an investigation is underway in the Kvemo Kartli Police Department under Article 150 (11) of the Criminal Code of Georgia on the fact of the supposed marriage coercion against A.Sh. All appropriate investigative and procedural actions are being conducted within the frames of the ongoing investigation.
