"We will do our best to collect evidence from witnesses and determine those who committed the grave crime in Kirbali village. Such a statement made today Aleksandre Darakhvelidze, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs.

He condoled to the family of Tamaz Ginturi and thanked the State Security Service of Georgia, which was involved in the release of abducted Levan Dotiashvili and his return to the family.

“The Ministry of Internal Affairs immediately launched a probe, and we are conducting all necessary investigations, including expertise, to determine what happened and who is guilty. On our side, we explained in detail what articles the investigation probes into”, - said Aleksandre Darakhvelidze.

He was questioned regarding the viral footage on social media depicting the purportedly culpable Russian officers.

​“At this stage, I will refrain from going into details. However, as soon as there is an opportunity to provide you with information based on the case materials, naturally, the MIA will do so”, - added the Deputy Minister.
