Seven companies had been fined GEL 65,000 for failing to submit or incorrectly submitting monthly reports to the regulatory body, says the National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission of Georgia.

Water Energy, Era Georgia, Hydro Development Company, Jonouli 1, Chiragdani and Gazmsheni companies were each fined GEL 10,000, while Tbilisi Investment Group was fined GEL 5,000.

The fines were enforced for failures including repeat violations, with the body saying failing to rectify the inconsistencies would result in further penalties.

In addition to the fines, written warnings were handed out to 14 energy enterprises for their incomplete report submissions.
