A member of the United National Movement, Devi Chankotadze, urged the Georgian Dream to withdraw the draft law “On transparency of Foreign Influence” during the Parliament hearing.

“The adoption of this law will result in adverse consequences. Our military veterans are unanimously opposed to this law.

The people currently demonstrating against it believe it resembles Russian legislation.

My advice, as a man, as a soldier, as a general, is to withdraw this law. It will lead to very dire consequences. I warn you: if even one person loses a life, it will have a very bad outcome. Withdraw this law”, - said Devi Chankotadze.
