Up to 13,000 tonnes of grapes already processed as of September, 2

The grape harvest is in full swing in Kakheti, with up to 13,000 tonnes already processed as of Monday, September 2.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the processed product includes about 7,500 tonnes of the Rkatsiteli variety and 2,300 tonnes of Saperavi.

Stipulated by the quality of grapes, the prices are currently fixed at GEL 1.07 per 1 kg of Rkatsiteli and GEL 1.30-1.40 per 1 kg of Saperavi.

The forecast for 2024 grape harvest stands at 300,000 tonnes.

The grape harvest in Racha-Lechkumi will start in the 1st half of October.
