Svanetoba was celebrated in Mestia

Svanetoba [Day of Svaneti] was celebrated in Mestia. Concerts, entertainment activities and exhibitions, exposition of folk crafts and performances by folklore ensembles were hosted by the municipality.

An honorary citizen of Mestia was also announced - the title was awarded to world champion in judo, Lukhum Chkhvimiani.

The Mestia International Mountain Film Festival also kicked off, and will last for 6 days.
