Law enforcement officers have arrested a foreign citizen wanted by Interpol’s Red Notice

As a result of a joint operation, officers of the Main Division for Combating Organized Crime of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Adjara Main Division arrested a citizen of the Republic of Turkey who was wanted by Interpol on a red notice.

The detainee was wanted on charges of illegal trafficking or supply of narcotics, at the request of Turkish law enforcement agencies.

As a result of investigative actions, law enforcement officers arrested a wanted person in Batumi.

Currently, extradition procedures provided for by law are underway against the detainee
