Prime Minister of Georgia meets the Director-General of UNESCO

Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia met Khaled El-Enany, Director General of UNESCO today.

The meeting focused on the fruitful cooperation between Georgia and UNESCO and the organization's important role in protecting and preserving tangible and intangible cultural heritage.

The Prime Minister noted that Georgia's rich cultural heritage is an integral part of national identity and that the government attaches great importance to partnership with UNESCO in safeguarding centuries-old traditions.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Irakli Kobakhidze invited the Director-General of UNESCO to visit Georgia.
