Air temperatures to reach 40 degrees

High air temperatures will persist in Georgia until August 9, in the east - in some places up to 38, 40 degrees. The relevant statement was released by the National Environmental Agency. According to the agency, the risk of forest fires is increasing. “The expected high temperatures are a contributing factor to the development of heat stress, the risk of forest fires and drought conditions [danger level medium]”, - reads the statement.
