Starting from September 1, Tbilisi City Hall will provide funding for the high-cost medication Actemra, used to treat rheumatoid arthritis. Such a statement made today Mayor of the capital.
“I would like to address an important program, the launch of which was among our pre-election promises. Starting from September 1, Tbilisi City Hall will provide funding for the high-cost medication Actemra, used to treat rheumatoid arthritis. In order to receive the materialized voucher required for the funding of the medication, citizens must apply to the Healthcare and Social Services Municipal Office.
Additionally, prior to submitting the application, the citizen must have been continuously registered in the Tbilisi Municipality for the past two years and at the time of enrollment in the program. Georgian citizens diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, whose DAS28 index score is 3.2 or higher, will be eligible to participate in the program.
Individuals registered in the Unified Database of Socially Vulnerable Families, whose rating score does not exceed 150,000, will receive full (100%) funding for the medication. All other eligible beneficiaries will receive 80% co-funding”, - said Kakha Kaladze.
