Migration Department employees deported 29 foreign citizens from Georgia

As a result of close coordination between the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and relevant units of the Ministry, as part of the complex measures taken in recent days, 29 foreign citizens were deported from Georgia.

Deported persons are the citizens of: India, Ghana, Turkey, Nepal, Turkmenistan, Iran, Pakistan and Latvia. In accordance with the current legislation, they were banned from entering the country.

The Migration Department is the body responsible for combating illegal migration within the country. One of its competencies is to identify foreign citizens who reside in Georgia without legal grounds and to carry out their expulsion from Georgia.
