Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia accompanied by the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Mariam Kvrivishvili, and the Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, Sulkhan Tamazashvili, visited Batumi International Airport to review the completed and ongoing infrastructure works.

The General Manager of TAV Georgia - a member of the ADP Group - which manages Tbilisi and Batumi International Airports, provided the Prime Minister of Georgia with detailed information on completed and planned projects. According to Thea Zakaradze, this year the runway at Batumi International Airport was fully rehabilitated, the number of aircraft stands was doubled and the company purchased new equipment.

To increase passenger handling capacity, it is planned to expand the passport control area in the arrivals and departures zones this year.

Over the past year, the company has invested 25 million GEL in infrastructure works.
