Employees of the Migration Department detained 14 foreign citizens

Within the framework of the fight against illegal migration, employees of the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted a special immigration control operation. With the aim of identifying foreign citizens residing in Georgia without legal basis, employees of the Migration Department inspected specific locations.

As a result of the complex operation, 14 foreign citizens have been detained. Among them are citizens of India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Turkmenistan. It was determined that the detainees violated the Law of Georgia “On the Legal Status of Foreigners and Stateless Persons”.

Currently, the aforementioned individuals are being held in the Migration Department’s temporary accommodation center. Relevant procedures are ongoing deport them from the country.

The Migration Department conducts special immigration control measures regularly to ensure the effective enforcement of the Law of Georgia "On the Legal Status of Foreigners and Stateless Persons".
