The Tbilisi City Court is currently considering the issue of preventive measures for 5 politicians detained for attempting to overthrow the Government and organizing group violence.

Organizing and leading group violence, attempting to seize an object of strategic and special importance, calling for the violent change of the constitutional order and the overthrow of the state Government - these are the articles the Prosecutor’s Office charged them with yesterday.

Paata Burchuladze, Murtaz Zodelava, Irakli Nadiradze, Paata Manjgaladze and Lasha Beridze face up to 9 years in prison.
