Another 14 people detained in connection with the October 4 events are expected to be charged today.

Some of them were transferred to the Zahesi detention center overnight.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs [MIA] arrested in a total of 9 persons yesterday, bringing the number of detainees in the case to 45.

According to the investigation, on October 4, despite numerous public calls by the MIA for the assembly-demonstration to be peaceful, the defendants committed unlawful and violent actions on Atoneli Street.

The trial of the 7 detainees will take place in a few hours. The court will discuss the issue of imposing a preventive measure on them.
