The Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia has charged two individuals in a gang robbery in Mtskheta Municipality.
According to the agency, an investigation conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs established that on December 2, 2025, defendants entered a residential building in Mtskheta Municipality and attacked the victim, demanding money and valuables from him using violence and threats that were dangerous to his health.
“Law enforcement officers arrested the defendants on December 3. They were charged under Article 179, Part 2, Subparagraphs “b” and “b” of Part 3 of the Criminal Code of Georgia (robbery, committed in a group, with illegal entry into an apartment), which provides for a sentence of 8 to 12 years of imprisonment.
The Prosecutor’s Office has already applied to the court with a motion to impose imprisonment as a preventive measure on the defendants”, - says the agency.
