Registration of first-graders based on the territorial principle starts today. The process will begin at 09:00 and continue through May 25.

Registration will be carried out online, on the official website of the Education Management Information System.

Registration by territorial principle is the third and final stage of registration for the 2026-2027 academic year.

“Registration based on the territorial principle is a new initiative. Specifically, we have added this stage to the first-grader registration process before the universal registration begins. This means that during the territorial registration stage, students are given the opportunity to choose priority schools according to their place of residence and registration. For now, twelve pilot cities are participating in the process at this stage, and four of these cities are represented by school districts”, - explains Tamar Makharashvili, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia.

Parents will be able to submit the necessary documents to schools for the enrollment of already registered students from May 27 through June 12.
