We share a special partnership with Kazakhstan in the areas of transport, tourism, and the Middle Corridor, and this visit holds great significance for our country`s economic development - Kvrivishvili

Georgian Minister of Economy responds to the visit of the Government delegation, led by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, to Kazakhstan noting that Georgia enjoys particularly close cooperation with Kazakhstan in the fields of transport, tourism, trade, and the development of the Middle Corridor.

"I believe this will be an important visit, including numerous bilateral meetings between the Prime Ministers of the two countries, as well as with the President of Kazakhstan.

We will also hold bilateral meetings with our counterparts, during which we will discuss ways to further deepen relations between our countries.

I would especially like to highlight the role of our two countries in the context of the Middle Corridor, as cargo flows through the corridor are already growing significantly. We are cooperating very closely with Kazakhstan, and through joint initiatives, these efforts are translating into tangible results almost every month. We believe that during this visit we will place special focus on further cooperation in the transport and logistics sectors.

Memorandums of understanding in the fields of tourism and information technology are expected to be signed during the visit to Kazakhstan", - said Mariam Kvrivishvili.
