Georgian wine was presented at various events held in 16 countries around the world

With the financial and organizational support of the National Wine Agency, in the second quarter of this year, Georgian wine was presented at 11 exhibitions/festivals in 8 countries around the world: Japan, Italy, Slovenia, Greece, USA, Austria, Great Britain and Belarus.

About 80 presentations/tastings of Georgian wine were held in 10 countries around the world: Germany, Australia, USA, Turkey, Norway, France, Belgium, Switzerland, South Korea and Great Britain.

Within the framework of the state program for the promotion of Georgian wine in the local market, with the financial support of the National Wine Agency, 15 events, master classes, exhibitions, festivals, competitions and forums were held in Georgia.

During the reporting period, 9 wine tours were held in Georgia with the participation of foreign wine professionals, trade representatives, and media representatives.

About 200 wine companies and wineries participated in the events, both outside the country and throughout Georgia. In order to promote Georgian wine, active cooperation continued with international media outlets and publishing houses such as: Gambero Rosso TV, TV SOMM TV, New York Post, Seven Fifty, daily Vine Pair and Grapefriend.

At the initiative of the National Wine Agency of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia and by the decision of the Government of Georgia, in order to present Georgian wine as the country`s identity and most important cultural heritage, its centuries-old history and related traditions, National Wine Day was established, which is celebrated annually on May 8.

Various formats of events are implemented in strategic and priority markets by the National Wine Agency`s contractor companies. With the support of the National Wine Agency, Georgian producers participate in all important international wine and alcoholic beverage exhibitions, and media campaigns and consumer-oriented activities have been strengthened.

The USA, Great Britain, Germany, Poland, China, South Korea and Japan remain strategic markets.
