To enhance young people`s awareness of electoral matters, the Election Administration of Georgia, in cooperation with the Youth Agency, is participating in another large-scale initiative.

As part of the 2026 Summer Youth Camps project, Central Election Commission (CEC) Chair Giorgi Kalandarishvili visited the Anaklia Youth Camp and met with its participants.

The meeting was opened by the CEC Chair and Anzor Megrelishvili, Deputy Head of the Youth Agency. Giorgi Kalandarishvili spoke with the participants about the importance of elections, the role of young people in democratic processes, and the value of being well informed on electoral matters.

The CEC Chair also addressed the impact of disinformation on the electoral process, describing it as one of the key challenges facing elections. He presented the election administration’s strategy aimed at preventing disinformation and ensuring the timely and objective provision of information to the public.

During the meeting, participants were introduced to the election administration’s journal, Elections 360°, which provides comprehensive and multifaceted coverage of current electoral issues. More than 200 young people attended the meeting held at the Anaklia Youth Camp.

It is noteworthy that, as part of the Summer Youth Camps project, senior officials and representatives of the election administration will continue to hold a series of information sessions in Anaklia and other locations across the country, further strengthening young people`s electoral education and awareness.
