Mikheil Saakashvili begins a struggle for the development of Ukraine and together with the Ukrainians intends to change the Ukrainian political elite.

Odessa"s former governor, Mikheil Saakashvili made a first comment after his resignation and explains the reasons of his the decision.

"We have achieved many things in Odessa, but our ultimate goal is to save Ukraine. The current situation of Ukraine looks like the one Georgia had in 2001 - reforms are suspended and stuck; corruption has again covered everything and people are dissatisfied. Together with them we have to change the entire political elite of Ukraine and I will take active part in it. I have a great support of people in Ukraine. This means that our victory can not be thwarted. Ukraine needs new political elite and I will actively take part in its creation", -said Saakashvili.
