The petition of the prosecution has been met. Shotadze agency has another month for obtaining evidence in the so-called cyanide case . During this time the accused will remain in custody. The judge did not satisfy the position of defense regarding release of Deacon Giorgi Mamladze on bail.

The judge refused to release on 20 thousand GEL bail on Deacon Mamladze naming the .possibility of influencing the witnesses as one of the main reasons.

With this decision, the judge did not accept the arguments of the defense that the accused had no desire and possibility to influence witnesses.. The lawyers further argument for releasingg him on bail was the defendant`s health condition which as they say has worsened.

Defenders of archpriest openly accused the court today of being biased . They are talking about influence from the interested circles..
