After the bombing of the U.S. cruise missiles to the Syrian military shirt the Russian military leadership has decided to temporarily not to contact with American colleagues on the hot lines established to avoid conflict situations in the skies over Syria.
As said the official representative of the defense Ministry Igor Konashenkov, all contacts with the American side will be stopped from Saturday, April 8, on what has officially notified the Pentagon, according to “Russian conversation”.
In the Russian defense Ministry said that the decision to cease contact with the Pentagon via the hot lines was made on the basis of Washington’s applied strike with cruise missiles on Syrian military base shirt in the night of Friday, April 7 .
“On military-to diplomatic channels to the Pentagon sent a diplomatic note of the Ministry of defense of Russia on the termination of work under the Memorandum of channels of the hot line communication”, – said Konashenkov.
Recall, almost immediately after the application of United States cruise missiles against Damascus, the Russian side announced a unilateral withdrawal from the agreement on prevention of incidents in the airspace of Syria.
