Rallies held in Istanbul, Izmir and Ankara - 14 people were arrested

 

Hundreds of people have protested against the results of referendum in Turkish towns. Istanbul, Rallies were held in Izmir and Ankara. Law enforcers detained 14 participants of the rallies The footage depicting the rallies in various cities is mostly distributed on the Internet.

To prevent the threat of turmoil, Taip Erdogan extended the state of emergency for another 3 months. After the referendum, the president also responded to international observers` criticism. In his speech in Ankara, he stated that Turkey does not listen to and does not recognize their conclusions.

The Turkish authorities have released information that the President has already received congratulations from Donald Trump on the results of the referendum. However, the official White House refrained from commenting on the referendum before the results of the International Commission.
