Voluntary free testing for Covid-19 will be available in Tbilisi today and tomorrow

Voluntary free testing for Covid-19 will be available in Tbilisi today and tomorrow. Such a statement made the Head of the Georgian National Centre for Disease Control.

“We are inviting people living in Tbilisi to take part in voluntary free testing for COVID-19 which will be held at the House of Justice on September 22 and 23. We are interested in testing about 1,000 people to find out how intense the circulation of the infection is. We have done several seroprevalence studies. These studies are an opportunity to get a glimpse of what is happening”, - said Amiran Gamkrelidze.

As of today, Georgia has 3,913 confirmed coronavirus cases, of which 1,574 have recovered. 41 Georgian citizens have been transported for treatment from abroad, and 23 people have died. At this point, 5,255 people are under quarantine, and 836 are under medical supervision in inpatient facilities.
