The MIA has solved the case of international drug crime - 1 person detained

The officers of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Prosecutor General"s Office of Georgia, along with the representatives of Tbilisi office of Drug Enforcement Administration under the US Department of Justice and Service for the Fight against Smuggling under the State Customs Committee of Armenia, as a result of operative and investigative activities held within the frames of international cooperation in law enforcement sphere, detained M.K. (DoB 2001) for illegal purchase and keeping of drugs.

The committed crime envisages up to 6 years of imprisonment.

The investigation established that the detainee was receiving drugs from the Republic of Armenia for further realization. The employees of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, State Customs Committee of Armenia and Drug Enforcement Administration under the US Department of Justice implemented the international, controlled delivery of drugs.

During the personal search of the detainee, the law enforcers seized "Alpha-PVP", "Mephedrone" and replacement substance of "Alpha-PVP".

Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of drugs, articles 19-260, I part, 260, I part of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
