The trial of 7 people detained during the anti-Namakhvani HPP protest underway in Kutaisi. Local City Court discusses presentation of indictment to anti-Namakhvani HPP protester Irakli Mukbaniani detained in the village of Sakulia.

Prosecutor’s office demands the detainee’s imprisonment. Lawyers urge for his release on bail in the amount of GEL 10 000.

Law enforcers detained Mukbaniani yesterday, June 1. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, he attacked and physically assaulted a police officer in Gumati, during anti-Namakhvani HPP protest.
