The officers of the Main Division for Combating Drug Trafficking under the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative-investigative activities detained four persons: V.Z. (DoB1985), citizen of Ukraine- I.B. (DoB 1995) E.I. (DoB 2001) and N.N. (DoB 2000) for illegal purchase and keeping of a new psychoactive substance and illegal purchase and storage of drugs in especially large quantities.

The committed rime envisages from 8 to 20 years or lifetime imprisonment.

During a personal search of V.Z. law enforcement officers seized more than 5 liters of new psychoactive substance.

As for I.B. (DoB1995), the investigation established that he was connected with an organized group of drug dealers through Telegram social application and was involved in the illegal import of drugs into Georgia and its delivery at certain locations.

Police arrested I.B. in Tbilisi. During his personal search, 4 plastic bottles containing up to 5 liters of new psychoactive substance were found.

E.I. And N.N. were detained by the officers of the Central Criminal Police Department, together with Kakheti Police Department, in Dedoplistskaro municipality for drug crimes.

During a personal search of E.I. and N.N., law enforcement officers seized especially large amount of various types of drugs. During the search of the vehicle used by the accused persons, up to 4 kilograms of “opium” and 1,600 k.g. of “heroin” were seized.

Police seized 5 kilograms and 500 grams of narcotics and 10 liters and 896 grams of new psychoactive substance in total

The investigation is in progress under article 260 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
