Roin Metreveli elected as President of Georgian National Academy of Science

Academician Roin Metreveli was elected as the President of the Georgian National Academy of Science, replacing Giorgi Kvesitadze.

Previously he held the position of vice president of the National Academy of Science.

Roin Metreveli was a member of the first convocation of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Georgia.

In 1991 – 2004 he served as the Rector of Tbilisi State University.
