The Chairman of the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC), David Narmania and GNERC Commissioners met with the Energy Community Director, Artur Lorkowski.

The parties discussed the performance indicators of obligations in the energy sector, future plans and the process of liberalization of the energy market, effective mechanisms for the enforcement of the EU legislation.

As GNERC Chairman has noted, GNERC has fulfilled its obligations under the legislation and the European Directives. GNERC has developed more than 30 normative acts to promote market liberalization. This legal framework is a solid foundation for the development of the energy market.

The meeting was attended by the Directors of GNERC Legal and International Relations Departments and Energy Community Official Representative in Georgia, Salome Janelidze.
