The Tbilisi Division of the Forensic-criminalistics Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia successfully passed the annual assessment of the American Accreditation Center - “A2LA”.

“A2LA” is one of the most authoritative and highly reliable accreditation bodies in the world, which is a full member of the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) and the International Accreditation Forum (IAF).

The American expert thoroughly inspected the standard operating procedures for working at the scene of the crime and observed the entire process of working with Georgian forensic scientists in a real environment.

The above-mentioned inspection was conducted within the framework of the international standard ISO 17020, the successful completion of which once again confirmed the high quality of the activities of the Forensic Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the professionalism of its employees.
