The current opposition fails to meet the criteria for victory, how is an opposition supposed to win when it seeks to diminish me in order to establish its own identity? The former president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, writes this on his Facebook page.

“Lelo is merely a business project of Badri [Japaridze] and Mamuka [Khazaradze]. From the very beginning, the Gilauri brothers’ business project was established. In addition, several minor business ventures operate merely as political leverage for investors dealing with the regime, rather than being oriented towards victory. The United National Movement carry the vision of a successful Georgian state, but I am left with the impression that there is a communication problem. We cannot pull through like this; this is a direct recipe for defeat.

People say decisions are made within a closed circle and that Misha is isolated. I have heard this even from my friends. A leader is a leader because their opinion matters. I have neither dismissed anyone nor appointed anyone; I expressed an opinion, which you may choose to agree with or not”, - writes Mikheil Saakashvili.
