Answering a journalist`s question regarding remarks made in the European Parliament about the selective suspension of visa liberalization, Vice Prime Minister / Minister of Foreign stated that such rhetoric from European politicians is being weaponized as a political tool aimed at fragmenting society.

As she explained, these actions run counter to Georgia’s national interests and the well-being of its citizens.

"It is deeply regrettable that while European politicians express concern over polarization within Georgian society on the one hand, they do everything in their power to further divide our people, fuel internal confrontation, and exploit available political instruments to fragment our society on the other. Issuing such statements is directed solely against our public and our state interests, serving the strategic goals of neither Europe nor Georgia", - said Maka Botchorishvili.
