We stand ready for dialogue, but an attitude where someone attempts to lecture us or wag a finger at us from above is categorically unacceptable. Such a statement made today the Mayor of Tbilisi, when asked questioned about the visa-free regime.
As he noted, the Georgian government has repeatedly demonstrated its readiness to resume dialogue with the European Union.
"We are well aware that their primary objective, policy, and funding are directed toward deepening polarization and exacerbating the division within society - issues we have highlighted for a long time. Let us call things by their real names and explicitly identify those who drive polarization and act destructively. We have witnessed the actions of violent groups that are funded from abroad. Naturally, the finances entering the country over the years were intended to establish a network of agents, with specific individuals receiving salaries for these roles.
Ostensibly, non-governmental organizations claimed to operate with good intentions and care, yet everyone knows exactly what their true motivation and objective were.
Furthermore, it must be noted that these funds were utilized to orchestrate revolutions and coups d`état within the country. This deliberate deepening of polarization clearly indicates an effort to divide the Georgian people", - said Kakha Kaladze.
