A Wedding Hall will be built in Mestia

A Wedding Hall with unique architecture will be built in the Mestia municipality. The launch of the project was marked by the Minister of Justice, Paata Salia, who, along with the State Representative in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti and officials from the Ministry of Justice and local government, laid a symbolic time capsule.

The architectural project of the Mestia Wedding Hall was created by a Georgian architect and fully blends into Svaneti’s unique environment and traditional architectural style.

The project has already gained international recognition. The concept of the Mestia Wedding Hall became the winner of two prestigious international architectural competitions. At the Japan International Design Award held in Tokyo, Japan, the project won in the category "Best Iconic Architecture Created on National Historical Motifs", while at the Rome Design Award held in Rome, Italy, it won in the "Conceptual Design" category.

The new Wedding Hall will contribute to the development of state services in the regions, as well as to the further strengthening of Mestia as an international tourist destination.

Both citizens of Georgia and foreign nationals will benefit from the marriage registration service, which will add extra tourism potential to the region.

The project fully aligns with the goals of regional development policy and envisions the creation of modern state infrastructure that ensures equally accessible, high-quality, and comfortable services for citizens. The Wedding Hall in Mestia will be built on the street named after the famous Georgian poet, Revaz Margiani. The new building will also house the Revaz Margiani House-Museum, which will add further cultural significance to the project.

The event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Justice Lana Morgoshia, the Chairperson of the Public Service Hall Vakhtang Zhvania, and representatives of the local government.
