According to the GeoStat, in June 2026, exports increased by 20.4% and amounted to 770.8 million USD

In January-June 2026 the external merchandise trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to USD 12 925.4 million, 5.8 percent higher year-on-year, reads the report of GeoStat.

“The exports equaled 3 876.3 million (20.0 percent higher), while the imports stood at USD 9 049.1 million (0.7 percent higher). The negative trade balance was USD 5 172.9 million in January-June 2026 and its share in external trade turnover constituted 40.0 percent.

In January-June 2026 the share of the top ten trading partners by exports in the total exports of Georgia amounted to 69.8%. The top partners were Kyrgyzstan (USD 431.8 million), China (USD 428.6 million) and Azerbaijan (USD 335.9 million).

In January-June 2026 the share of the top ten trading partners by imports in the total imports of Georgia amounted to 70.6%. The top partners were Türkiye (USD 1 392.3 million), Russia (USD 1 195.5 million) and China (USD 1 068.1 million).

In January-June 2026 the share of the top ten trading partners in the total external trade turnover of Georgia amounted to 66.3 percent. The top trading partners were Türkiye (USD 1 659.4 million), Russia (USD 1 527.6 million) and China (USD 1 496.7 million).

In January-June 2026 motor cars claimed the first place in the list of top export items, equaling USD 938.0 million with 24.2% of total exports. The exports of petroleum and petroleum oils totaled USD 486.9 million and their share in the total exports amounted to 12.6%. The exports of precious metal ores and concentrates occupied the third place standing at USD 304.3 million and constituting 7.9% of the total exports.

The top import commodities in January-June 2026 were motor cars, whose imports equaled USD 1 615.0 million (17.8% of the total imports). The petroleum and petroleum oils followed in the list with USD 811.8 million (9.0% of imports). The Medicaments put up in measured doses were third in the top import commodity list with USD 364.3 million (4.0% of imports).
