The 2008 war is an important lesson. It confirms once again that Georgia`s security and state interests cannot depend on the goodwill of other states. The Prime Minister of Georgia said at a briefing at the Government Administration.

As he noted, the ultimate responsibility for their own country rests with the Georgian authorities and the Georgian people themselves.

"This reality shows once again how important it is for the authorities at the head of the state to put the interests of their own country first under any circumstances. Alignment with the interests of a foreign country, even if it brings concrete benefits in the short term, should never become the basis for replacing Georgia`s state interests", - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
