A delegation from "Georgian Amelioration" participated in the 6th International Seminar on Water Culture held in the People’s Republic of China, where delegation presented the ongoing developments in Georgia’s amelioration sector, implemented projects, and future priorities to international partners.

At the seminar, Tamar Jaliashvili, Head of Donor Organizations Relations and International Projects Management Department at "Georgian Amelioration", delivered a presentation highlighting large-scale irrigation infrastructure rehabilitation projects, measures implemented to ensure the efficient and rational use of water resources, and the sector’s vision on future development.

The presentation also covered planned activities for the digital transformation of the amelioration sector, aimed at improving water resource management and enhancing the efficiency of irrigation schemes through the use of modern technologies.

As part of the visit, members of the "Georgian Amelioration" delegation also visited modern water management infrastructure facilities in China. They had the opportunity to learn firsthand about the practical approaches and technologies implemented in China for water resource management and irrigation infrastructure development, as well as practices developed based on years of experience.

The 6th International Seminar on Water Culture was jointly organized by UNESCO, the Chinese National Committee on Irrigation and Drainage (CNCID), and the China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research (IWHR).
