The Ministry of Defense of Georgia is hosting the NATO Multinational Military Police Battalion’s computer-assisted exercise "SHARP LYNX 2026". The opening ceremony of the exercise was held at the NATO-Georgia Joint Training and Evaluation Center (JTEC).

The event was attended by the Deputy Commander of the Defense Forces, Major General Irakli Chichinadze, Head of the Military Police Department, Major General Shalva Shengelia, and the Commander of JTEC, Colonel David Gagua, who wished success to the exercise participants.

Following the conclusion of the exercise, the capabilities of the Military Police of the Defense Forces of Georgia will be evaluated. “SHARP LYNX 2026” is the final activity according to the roadmap adopted for joining the NATO Multinational Military Police Battalion. The exercise, which is being held within the framework of the Substantial NATO-Georgia Package (SNGP), aims to further improve interoperability, staff procedures, coordination, and command capabilities in a multinational environment.

Representatives of the military police units of Georgia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, and Hungary are participating in the exercise.
