The initial draft of the State Budget of Georgia for 2027 was discussed at a meeting of the Trust Group.
Members of the Trust Group, together with First Deputy Finance Minister Giorgi Kakauridze and representatives of the State Security Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Defence, the Special Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice and the Special State Protection Service, discussed the intended use of budget allocations for classified procurements and special programmes.
The meeting noted that, in view of the operational needs arising from the official duties and responsibilities of these services, additional funding would need to be allocated from next year’s budget.
In this regard, the Trust Group will submit relevant recommendations to the Ministry of Finance.
The meeting on budgetary matters was attended by Alexandre Tabatadze, Head of the Trust Group, and its members Archil Gorduladze, Tengiz Sharmanashvili and Viktor Japaridze.
