American experts comment on Russia blocking the discussion over Abkhazian issue at UN The initiative of Ukraine raised at UN Security Council is being assessed in Washington. The delegation of Ukraine demands the discussion over Moscow’s agreement with Sokhumi to create joined Russian-Abkhazian military group. American experts speak about the possible threats and think that there is possibility of repeating of such precedent in other regions, including Lugansk and Donetsk. “Crimea is annexed by Russia. Russian forces are there and their quantity is raising. As to Donetsk and Lugansk, yes, they can create such military groups there, because de facto Russian militaries are in charge there. They are supporting and managing military power in Donetsk and Lugansk”, - said Ariel Cohen, analysist of Heritage Foundation. Russian-Abkhazian agreement was criticized by US administration on November 22, after Russian parliament ratified the agreement. American experts think that it is better that Ukrainian initiative is discussed not at the Security Council, but at the General Assembly.
