Moscow sends an investigative team to Ankara. Foreign Ministers of two countries will hold a face-to-face meeting. The leaders of both countries state that the attack on a Russian Ambassador was a provocation, aimed to damage relations between Russia and Turkey.

Russian diplomat Andrey Karlov had been attacked by 22-years-old Turkish police officer at the Contemporary Arts Center, during the opening ceremony. Invited hosts were in the hall . The attacker was shouting praise to Allah. After murdering the diplomat he cried out on Turkish and Arabic languages that he revenged killing innocent population of Aleppo .

Six individuals have been detained . The attackers parents, sister, two relatives and a friend are between detainees.

Iranian diplomatic missions in Turkey were suspended on Dec. 20 until the next order.

U.S. missions to Turkey were also closed on Dec. 20 for security reasons.
