Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili held a meeting with his Turkish counterpart Binali Yildirim.
The sides underlined the importance of strategic partnership between the two countries and noted that Georgia and Turkey have been developing cooperation in a number of directions for many years.

The importance of the Eurasian Tunnel project, the official opening ceremony of which will be held today, was also emphasized.

According to the Prime Minister, the tunnel connecting the continents of Asia and Europe will create new transportation opportunities and will play an important role in the implementation of the restoration of the Silk Road.

Trade-economic relations and prospects of their further development were also discussed. After the meeting, Turkish Prime Minister hosted his Georgian counterpart, together with his delegation, at a working dinner.
