American congressmen will appeal to the President of the United States with a letter of support for Georgia. Donald Trump was addressed by 30 members of Congress in connection of the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the US and Georgia.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia has published the letter. The letter, initiated by co-chairs of the Group of Friends, is another clear example of the US bipartisan support to Georgia, which confirms US support for Georgia`s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The congressmen call on the President to start negotiations on free trade agreement with Georgia. They appeal to Donald Trump to continue supporting Georgia`s accession to NATO. The letter states that there is a strong strategic partnership between the countries and the US should further deepen this partnership.
