The National Security Advisor was blackmailed by Russia - scandalous statement of former US prosecutor

Washington was aware of National Security Advisor Michael Flynn`s communication with Russia several weeks before his dismissal, former General Prosecutor said at the Senate Legal Committee hearing.

The hearing was about Russia"s influence in the 2016 elections. Sally Yates personally informed the Trump administration that Flin was not telling the truth about his contacts with Russia.Yates supposes that the US high ranking official was blackmailed by Russia.

Senator Lindsey Graham, the chairman of the meeting, asked Yates whether there was any secret agreement between the Trump campaign and Moscow, but the former General Prosecutor did not respond to the question. However, former intelligence chief James Clapper confirmed that Graham had no connection with any investigation.

"Russians knew that Michael Flynn misled vice president and others. There were statements in the media where the vice president was repeating what Flynn claimed. This was a problem, because the Russians were not only aware of the truth but supposedly they had evidence. It created a compromising situation where the National Security Advisor was blackmailed by Russia, "said former US General Prosecutor Sally Yates.
