Business Ombudsman of Georgia Mikheil Daushvili, Head of the Labour Conditions Inspection Department and the Deputy Minister of Education, Culture and Sports met with the owners and employees of swimming pools and fitness centers.
According to Daushvili, naming precise dates at this stage is impossible since issues related to standards and regulations are yet to be solved. In his words, the Ministry of Health will inspect the facilities after the regulations-related issues are tackled, and when it is clear that these facilities meet the requirements, they will be reopened.
“Fitness centers and gyms will start receiving visitors as soon as the representatives of the industry fulfill the necessary standards. Basic points of the recommendation on ventilation and the visitor distribution process presented by the industry representatives have already been approved”, - added Business Ombudsman.
