The Public Service Hall and the UNDP continue their long-term collaboration to improve the availability of public services

The Public Service Hall (PSH) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) continue their long-term collaboration to improve the availability of public services. The new agreement between them is focused on the improved access to public services for rural population, persons with disabilities and ethnic minorities.

A letter of agreement was signed by Lasha Lobjanidze, Chairman of PSH and Douglas Webb, Resident Representative of UNDP in Georgia on November 15, 2023.

The activities specified in the aforementioned Agreement will be implemented through the EU support under the European Neighbourhood Program for Agriculture and Rural Development (ENPARD)

The project envisages retraining of more than 200 PSH staff members to improve their communication skills and offer enhanced services to persons with disabilities.

In addition to the above, the integration of business analysis systems allowed PSH to identify the needs in the areas compactly populated with ethnic minorities as well as in the other regions of the country and significantly improve the provision of services to them. The development and distribution of information materials in the native languages of such minorities will lead to their increased awareness of the available public services.

The target regions of Georgia are Kakheti, Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi- Kvemo Svaneti and Guria.
