We will not tolerate conversations based on directives and a commanding tone; this is what our society demands - Kirtskhalia

We will not accept being spoken to with directives and a commanding tone, this is what our society demands. Irakli Kirtskhalia, leader of the parliamentary majority/Chairman of the Georgian Dream faction, said this after the conclusion of the majority meeting, while discussing the latest resolution of the Council of Europe.

As he noted, these resolutions have the exact same value as traitors to the homeland do.

“We will not accept being spoken to with directives and a commanding tone, and this is the mandate of our society, and this is exactly what our so-called friends and so-called partners are worried about.

They certainly do not know the definition of the word partnership; they think partnership means directives and speaking while wagging a finger, but they will certainly not succeed with our country and society.

We have heard many absurd directives from them, we have heard many directives that directly contradict our sovereignty and our country’s security. These resolutions have the exact same value as those traitors to the homeland who spare no effort against their own country and demand destruction after destruction, sanction after sanction”, - said Irakli Kirtskhalia.

On Wednesday, June 24, within the framework of the summer plenary session, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe will review a report on Georgia, within the scope of which a draft resolution has been prepared.
