On the second day of the American Open Tennis Championship, the first tennis player of Georgia and Nikoloz Basilashvili (22nd at the tournament), lost to Austrian tennis player John Millman in three sets 6: 1, 6: 4, 6: 4 and was eliminated from the first stage of the tournament.

It should be mentioned that last year Nikoloz Basilashvili reached the 4th round.
